The doctrine of the Sunnis and the doctrine of the Shia regarding the Companions [of the Prophet]

Abstract

This research aims to explain the principles upon which Sunnis and Shiites built their beliefs about the Companions, to show the difference that led to the emergence of a belief contrary to the belief of the vast majority of Muslims, to reveal the reasons that led to its emergence and spread, and the role of this belief in promoting the principle of hostility towards the Companions of the Prophet ﷺ and the bearers of the Sharia in the early period, and its effects on the Islamic arena.
